Luis has extensive experience advising employers in hospitality, retail, restaurant, grocery, and other industries. Before becoming an attorney, he worked in hospitality management, advancing from front desk clerk to assistant hotel manager, and also worked as a grocery store cashier. This hands-on background informs his practical approach to employment law. As co-chair of his firm’s Wage/Hour and Restaurant Practice Groups, Luis represents employers in wage-and-hour disputes, discrimination claims, union issues, regulatory compliance, and broader labor and employment matters. He is fluent in Spanish and uses his language skills to train and support Spanish-speaking managers and employees. Luis also serves in diversity leadership roles, focusing on recruiting and mentoring diverse attorneys, particularly within Hispanic communities.
