David D. Powell, Jr. is a partner in the Denver office and focuses on employment and commercial litigation. He co-founded the firm in 2023 after serving as Deputy Attorney General for Colorado, where he managed multiple legal units and oversaw matters involving state officials, healthcare, education, procurement, labor, and public utilities. Earlier in his career, David was an equity partner at Denver-based and national law firms, representing employers in employment litigation, internal investigations, and workplace counseling. David earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review. He clerked for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and previously worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Denver.
