At NELC, we believe in lifting as we climb, and we are thrilled to build on the success of our inaugural business development program held at an NELC regional.
This program offers selected outside counsel a chance to pitch their work to a panel of in-house lawyers, and then receive constructive feedback in an environment that encourages skill-building, collaboration, and community.
What You Need to Know
Eligibility:
Each participating law firm may submit one Pitch Team, composed of no more than two lawyers from the same firm who meet the eligibility criteria.
Pitch sessions will be 45 minutes, with 30 minutes for the presentation and the final 15 minutes dedicated to feedback from in-house counsel.
While AV capabilities won’t be available due to space limitations; we encourage teams to bring hard-copy materials.
Pitch Teams and Pitch Format
Pitches should focus on labor and employment services. Beyond that, the content and approach are yours to define. While in-house counsel teams won’t be grouped by specific areas of expertise, you’ll receive information about the companies to whom you are scheduled to pitch in the event you would like to tailor your presentation.
Applications:
Your application should include:
Biographies for each Pitch Team member
A short explanation of how your pitch team would benefit from participating in this program, and your contributions to NELC mission.
Applications are due online by February 27, 2025
We can’t wait to see the next generation of NELC leaders take this stage, share their expertise, and grow as professionals in our supportive and empowering environment.
